SEEDS Campaign
Auntie Na’s House is planting seeds to harvest unity in our community.
Our community survival programs are expanding beyond our humble house on the cornerstone of Yellowstone. This past year, we purchased 4 abandoned houses on our block on the Westside of Detroit and are rebuilding them to serve as homes in Auntie Na's Village, complete with a variety of community outreach programs.
Over the next year, we aim to complete the:
Medical House Nutrition House Learning House Clothing House.
Over the next year, we aim to complete the:
Medical House Nutrition House Learning House Clothing House.
A donation to our SEEDS Campaign will go towards
- materials needed to rebuild these homes
- stipends for local community members to work on these reconstruction projects
- stipends for Auntie Na's House staff to continue distributing food, clothing, water, etc
- program costs for running our After-School Programs and our Summer Program for youth
- organizational costs as we file for non-profit status and become a Community Land Trust
- the development of Auntie Na's Village
As we expand, we will ensure that our land, housing and programs remain under community control. All of our Village Homes will be collectively owned by our non-profit Community Land Trust. Each Village Home will be a residence for Villagers, will be a space for community outreach programs, and will be democratically run by a Community Board. We are working together to build an interdependent and self-determined community that can provide for the basic needs of its people.
Plant a SEED for Auntie Na’s Village by contributing to our campaign.*
